The Montagne (HuaTuo) Bio-mechanics Laboratory set up in 2001. It is the first laboratory invested by an enterprise, which is specialized in the bio-mechanics research in the artificial joints. From the beginning, the laboratory has stipulated the research of the osteal anatomy of the Chinese people as its objective, so as to provide the experimental basis for the optimized design of the artificial joints; to provide the statistic data for the design of prosthesis, which is suitable for the Chinese people. All these will raise the research level of the bio-mechanics at home.
