VIMS
In August, 2005, we imported this software VIMS (Virtual
Interactive Musculoskeletal System) from USA through
our consultant, Mr. Edmund Chao, a US export in bio-mechanics.
For our laboratory, this is a measure of epoch-making.
From then on, we have been carrying on research on virtual
analysis. Compared with the experimental method we have
been using, we are trying to set up a comprehensive
laboratory of bio-mechanics.
VIMS represents the most advanced research method in
bio- mechanics and is of potential application in many
fields. In a virtual environment, it is a total 3D musculoskeletal
system, with emulation of human joints at a high degree.
It provides many analytical methods. From the experiment
with VIMS, we can get more data of the human joints,
to analyze the movement of the human joints. The experimental
result will be described by graphics and data.
