Founded in January, 1998, Beijing Montagne Medical Device Co., Ltd. is a Sino-French Joint Venture, located in ChangPing Hi-Tech Zone, ZhongGuanCun Science Park and with 360 workers and staff members. Some well-known experts at home and abroad have been invited to be medical consultants. The president of the company is the member of ORS in the mainland of China at present. It is a "New Hi-Tech Enterprise" since 1998, approved by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Committee. The company is specialized in the development and production of artificial joints, as well as the sales and after-sale service at home and abroad. It has been certified to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 (YY/T0287-2003) in its quality management and product quality. Every year the company spends large sum of money to import advanced equipment, such as CNC processing center, CNC Series machines, 3-D coordinate measuring machine (ZEISS), laser engraving machine and 100000-class clean room for packaging. The company has invested millions of money to set up Saionji Lab., which is specialized in the research and development of products and equipment. Under it, there are two sub-laboratories: Huatuo Laboratory and Edmund Laboratory. Huatuo Bio-Mechanics Laboratory was set up in 2001, carrying out the bio-mechanic research in the artificial joint fields all the year round. It has been taking an active part in the orthopedic conferences at home and abroad and carrying out the research on the technical development and improvement in accordance with production requirement. With the increasing research achievements the quality and technical contents of the products of our company are also raising rapidly. A special column in the name of "Montagne (Huatuo) Bio-Mechanics" has been established in Chinese Orthopedics Magazine. Edmund Laboratory is specialized in the development of the software, virtual 3-D movement mechanics, for the demonstrability of product design. In 2005, the laboratory imported VIMS from USA. VIMS is a advanced system, excellent in compatibility and expansibility. It is compatible with most of engineering software and the software of mechanics analysis in the world. This software can also combine model design, mechanics, movement analysis, interaction and video-display as one through its special regulatory conformity. It stands in the forefront of the computer simulation technology and represents the most advanced research method. With this research method, the bio-mechanics research has embarked on a new direction in the biomechanics research and is of potentiality in the development in many fields. Based on these laboratories, the company has developed many products with their own intellectual property and has obtained some patents of Utility Models.
