  ¡¡Deluxe Series Knee Prosthesis
Deluxe Series artificial knee joint is the newly developed product based on the market demand by our company.
  ¡¡Characteristics of The Product

¡ñThe design is in conformity with anatomical size of the knee joint, increasing the covered surface of the bone by the prosthesis
The Deluxe series knee prosthesis is designed on the basis of the data obtained from the accurate analysis of anatomical information from 105 patients, concerning the shape and size of their distal end of femur, proximal end of tibia and patella. After the study of the geometrical data of the articulating surfaces of the distal end of femur, proximal end of tibia and patella, we determined the ratio between the inside and outside diameter and the ratio between the anteroposterior diameters of the distal end of femur and the proximal end of tibia. As a result, the covered area of the bone is increased and the bone absorption, as well as the prosthesis sinking, due to the uneven distribution of local stress on the cutting surface, is avoided. The uneven distribution of local stress is the result of poor covered area of the bone by the prosthesis.

¡ñ Good design of anastomosis curve on curve between articulating surfaces

Tibial-femoral articulating surface: the curve on curve design, even distribution of stress

The design is of good curve on curve anastomosis between the tibial-femoral articulating surfaces. This design makes the stress of contacting surfaces more even during the movement of the knee joint. With the analytical result of Element-limited Method, the result shows that if the two articulating surfaces are not well contacted, compared with the contact plane on plane, this design (the curvature radius of the coronary surface: 70 mm for femur component; 72 mm for tibia insert) is better. It can decrease the increase of the contact stress, decreasing the wear of the insert, which is made from UHMW-PE.

¡ñ Patellofemoral articulating surfaces: Rounded patella prosthesis, inlaid design

The patella component is of inlaid design in conformity with the current design trend. Compared with the overlaid design, the inlaid design can increase the contacted area between the patella prosthesis and the patella, so as to avoid the loosening of the patella component. Besides, the design of rounded patella prosthesis and the fixation of central single post with bone cement makes it easy to do the operation.

  ¡¡Characteristics of the product

It has been proven that there is serious wear at the contact point of the insert stake due to the following reasons: (1) the front lateral surface is struck; (2) the twist wear during de movement of the knee joint, especially at the corner of the stake; (3) the stake is pushed forward by the prosthesis while the flexion of the knee joint is in a large angle.

The insert stake is designed with the contact curve on curve. Through bio-mechanics analysis, we have got to know that, compared with the contact plane on plane, the design of curvature surface decreases the contact stress during the flexion movement of the knee joint, so as to decrease the wear of UHMW-PE.

  ¡¡Characteristics of the product

¡ñFine insert material and strict workmanship

The material and process used in the making of UHMW-PE insert will affect the service life of the knee prosthesis. Since the thickness of insert is limited, the more wearable the material is, the longer the service life.
In order to guarantee the service life of the knee prosthesis, we have imported UHMW-PE and have been processing them with the process generally accepted in the world. The wear resistance of the UHMW-PE insert is in conformity with the requirement of the modern knee prosthesis.

¡ñThe reliable design of the locked mechanism between the insert and metal base, avoiding the wear of micro motion between the interfaces

The wear of the bottom surface of the UHMW-PE insert is a newly-found clinic problem. The reason for the wear at the bottom surface is that the micro dislocation takes place between the insert surface and the metal base during the joint working. After a long time, the micro motion will result in the debris of UHMW-PE and the separation of the insert and the metal base. Therefore, in the design of the knee prosthesis, we have paid more attention to the fixed mechanism between the insert and the base, so as to decrease the micro motion and the wear of the micro motion.

  ¡¡Characteristics of the product

¡ñThe fine design guarantees that good match of different specifications between femur and tibia components

On all the coronal surfaces of the knee prosthesis, the distance between the lowest point on the femoral and tibial inserts of various specifications and the center of the knee prosthesis is all 16 mm. The width between the condyluses of the femoral component with various specifications and the width of the insert stake are the same. This kind of design will guarantee the femoral components and tibia components with different specifications could match each other well so as to make the operation easier.



The location of the lowest point of the curvature on the coronal surface of the femoral components with various specifications is equal to those of the tibia components, the width between the condyluses of the femoral component with various specifications and the width of the insert stake are the same. The components with various specifications could match with each other well.


  ¡¡Characteristics of the product

¡ñThe design of the flexion could meet the requirement in daily life

In the Deluxe series knee prosthesis, the maximum flexion is 134.5o, which could meet the requirement of most of the patients in their daily life.
